A Case For Goodluck Ebele Jonathan By Nnamdi Ben-Igwenyi || @kingz0nly

Post by Nnamdi Ben-Igwenyi, Eastern Nigeria - A Case For Jonathan. People say he hasn't done enough; He is failing the nation; He left Boko Haram operate with so much disregard; He has failed the economy (despite the fact that we have the highest grossing GDP in Africa); Even his wife says this and that; He has done this, he has done that. Now the same people also went ahead to believe the man that just came and said- "I will stop insecurity". Don't you think a sitting president who so desperately needs re-election, deserves your vote enough to stop the insurgent at all cost, if he could easily so do? (i.e - If the man claiming he can stop insecurity does not even have the insurgents' phone number on speed dial).

These people also listen to the man that says- "I will stop unemployment" - even America suffers a certain height of unemployment. What has this government been doing in the past few years if not making it possible that more industries are built in the country (e.g - the Innoson Auto Factory, NBL in Aba, amongst others). And you honestly think the other man will do any better with such limited resources and time? THINK AGAIN! Small small, we shall get there.

THEY also listen to the man that says- "I will stop corruption"- Listen, even you reading this piece possesses a certain degree of corruption, but that doesn't mean we should let the hydra-headed monster strive,NO. It is killing our economy, much more than the aforementioned. These things take time and for a country where to COLLECT your PVCS in some boots fast enough you have to SETTLE the officer, even if the "other man" enters, he can't throw people in jail without proper trial (even though I personally BELIEVE he is ready to step on toes).

Jonathan, albeit still a minority surrounded by a majority of power-merchants has done (and is doing) his bid - he cannot just put all perceived corrupted leader in a plane and set it off to explode. No! He can't, it is against international best practices, due process, good conscience and natural justice.

NOW, before I forget take a scrutinizing sincere look at the persons fronting the "APC". Check their pedigree, the issues surrounding their own political lives (except for BRF- whom I personally respect. Talk about exception to the rule. Lol!) and then conclude for yourselves in your hearts.

WHAT else does the other man say self?

It can't possibly be infrastructural development or transport or ICT or agriculture or the attraction of foreign investors or education or empowerment of the ALMAJIRIS or women empowerment or even the fact that Nigeria is able to conduct an obvious free and fair elections, among other things. No, it can't be these because we are gradually reaping the democratic dividends here.

THIS is not only a case for Jonathan but a case for Nigerians (big and small, Christians and Muslims, North through South).

I was supposed to be voting for my president come May 29th 2015, but due to obvious reasons I decided to translate my vote into words.

MARCH is a month for the strong and good - hearted - MARCH with GEJ (not 4 him)
